During the non-combatant evacuation (NEO) at Hamid-Karzai International Airport (HKIA) of 2021, the Devils assigned to C 2-504 facilitated the evacuation of hundreds of high-risk Afghans. At that time, the company was commanded by Captain John Folta and under the care of 1st Sergeant Jesse Kennedy. Specialist Aidan Gunderson, serving as a medic in the company, was part of this extra effort. The NEO was the largest in history with over 120,000 personnel being evacuated over the course of two weeks.
