Here we remember Devils killed in service to the nation.

Operation Just Cause

On December 20th, 1989, elements of the 82nd Airborne Division including 1st and 2nd battalion of the 504th PIR conducted a nighttime parachute assault into Panama. Three Devils gave their life on that operation:

• Specialist Jerry S. Daves, 20 years old, of Hope Mills, NC
• Specialist Alejandro L. Manrique-Lozano, 30 years old, of Lauderhill, FL
• Private First Class Martin D. Denson, 21 years old, of Abilene, TX

UH-60 Crash, 1985

On Wednesday, March 13th, 1985, a UH-60 Blackhawk crashed taking the lives of eight devils assigned to Bravo Company, 2-504.

• Private First Class Richard. D. Zimmerman, 20 years old, of Shavertown, PA

Green Ramp Disaster, 1994

Around 14:00 local time on Wednesday, March 23rd, 1994, an aircraft collision took the lives of 24 paratroopers, including 20 Devils.

Operation Enduring Freedom

Over the course of nearly 20 years, the regiment lost several devils to combat and accidents overseas.
